  Do Must Dubs Have Pre-Marital Sex?

  it's not often talked about but in my experience a lot of witnesses have sex (or something like it) during their courtship.

  and most of them never go to the elders about it.

  recent case in point: my dear friend got married this past summer.

  I wouldn't say most, but a pretty large group does.

  And, NO, these couples never come clean about it and go on to have weddings in the KH as if they were morally clean.

  People aren't stupid, though. Most other JWs know when a couple has gotten too familiar with one another, ahem, if you know what I mean.

  I told you all before about this young couple that got married last year in one of the local congregations. I knew it, just knew it that they're having pre-marital sex but of course couldn't prove it. Sure enough, 6 1/2 months later here comes a beautiful 10 lbs. baby boy. Of course the family all said the baby was born prematurely. YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  The father elder and the mother pioneer both lost their privileges because it was determined that they knew of the pre-marital sex but covered it just to have the daughter have a lavish KH wedding with all the trimmings.

  Time has passed and everybody is back reinstated to their privileges and everybody is one big happy family once again.

  not even a call to see how i was doing.

  my mom is still a diehard dub and doesn't even think it unusual.

  Rising gas prices, field service, meetings

  i recalled the other day how several years ago my wife tacked on over 60k miles in about a year and a half on one of our cars while pioneering.

  it still makes me ill thinking about it.

  then i began to wonder how the recent gas price surge is affecting normal field service activities and meeting attendance.

  I told a couple of elders to prepare to start seeing the rank and file preaching more by phone, letter, internet, and informally because going to the far away territory to find nobody home is no longer effective with the gas prices so high.

  I flat out said that the "sending us on a wild goose chase has got to stop immediately!" The looks on their faces whenever I make these statements is priceless.

  My poor husband will never make 'elder' with such a non-submissive wife.

  Indoctrination 101: The Sep KM insert - From Student to Publisher

  most of us who have/are associated with jehovah's witnesses are familiar with the indoctrination process and how it works.. well, for those of us who want to see the process from start to finish, the watchtower has very kindly included an insert in the.

  september kingdom ministry, entitled conducting progressive bible studies.. .

  They sound desperate to increase their numbers!!!

  This last meeting I attended, one of the speakers (an elder) said that if we visit a person for the second time and the person listens favorably at the door, that this person can be counted as a Bible study.

  Can you believe it???!!! How desperate is that!!!

  The Global Picture of the Watchtower - what is it?

  the year 2005 has seen many thumbs down for the watchtower.. .

  in january they announced the awake!

  magazine would go monthly, beginning in 2006.. this past service year, the number of publishers in the united states may actually have gone down, according to latest km figures.. this month the society sued quotes for $100,000 claiming copyright infringement and embarassment.. reports have been circulating of po's trying to shut down jw sites on myspace.com.

  The congregation I seldom attend is filled with children of JWs that look as if they're forced to be there; a generation that belongs to education and technology, that dresses and thinks according to the times.

  The diehards of the WBTS are literally dying off and soon there'll be a new day for this organization. They'll have to make considerable changes in order to retain the masses or gain the interest of the outsiders.

  The WBTS is ultimately a religious business organization and, as they have in the past, they'll make any adjustments necessary to keep their fellowship.

  after this weekend i'm off to the usa for 3 weeks (central florida).. i'm already thinking how much i'll miss reading your posts.

  anyway, i'll keep reading until tuesday, then i'll see you all in november.. i've been to florida before & i'll do the roller coasters etc in the main theme parks - anywhere else you think i should visit?

  subsequently, he put together a fantastic website, simply showing primary resource material (stuff jw's say about themselves and their beliefs) then simply highlighted various points of interest... things to make you say "hmmm!

  The WBTS will go after any organization if they think by doing so they could get $$$.

  Afterall, it's not like they're paying legal fees!

  I only hope this site isn't next, or at least on their 'future' list.

  Do the Witnesses Still Go Door to Door?

  i have lived at my current address for approximately five years and i have not had any visits from the witnesses.

  i don't really want any but here's the deal: i left "the truth" about fifteen years ago.

  i wasn't disfellowshipped or anything and (since i moved to another state) it was a relatively clean break.

  I'm finally doing it!

  well, it's hard to believe, but i'm finally ready to go on my world travels that i've been planning for so long.

  seriously, i've been trying to get out of here since way back in my witness days, at least four or five years.

  finally, i've gotten everything lined up, all the loose ends tied - i am on my way.. i leave this thursday for my first leg: 3 months in japan!
